When translating documents like invoices, contracts, or scanned PDFs that include elements such as formulas, company logos, handwritten signatures, or stamps
you may want to skip certain sections that should not be translated or altered
Doclingo’s Regional Translation feature allows you to manually mark these regions so they remain untouched while the rest of your content is translated accurately and cleanly

What can be excluded?

You can choose to exclude:
Company logos
Mathematical formulas
Handwritten signatures
Stamps, labels, image-based content
Copyright disclaimers
This is especially useful when translating structured layouts such as tables, bilingual forms, or official documents where certain sections must remain in their original format

How to use Regional Translation

Step 1: After submitting your document for translation, click the Edit button at the bottom right corner
Step 2: At the top of the editing interface, click “Regional translation” to enable region selection mode.
Step 3: Click the rectangle icon at the top of the screen.
Step 4: Use your mouse to click and drag over the area you want to exclude from translation.
Step 5: Next to each region, open the dropdown menu to define what should be ignored:
Ignore all (both text and images)
Ignore images
Ignore text
Step 6: Once you've selected all the areas you want to exclude, click “Translate Again”.
A confirmation dialog will pop up — simply click “Confirm” to reprocess the document with your exclusions in place.
