How to Use Doclingo’s Text Selection Features

Doclingo has launched a new Text Selection Features.

After translating a PDF document, you can highlight any text and interact with AI to get explanations, insights, translations, or copy the text instantly. This helps you better understand content while reading.

This feature only works with text-based PDF files (not scanned images).

✅ Before You Start

• Make sure your file is in PDF format
• The content must be text-based (not scanned images)
• For the best experience, use a desktop browser

📝 How to Use

1. Upload and Translate Your Document

• Go to the Doclingo website
• Upload your PDF file
• Choose your target language
• Click Start Translation
• Once done, you will see a side-by-side comparison (original on the left, translation on the right)

2. Select Text

• Use your mouse to highlight any text in the PDF
• A floating menu will automatically appear at the top

3. Choose an Action

💬 Chat

Click "Chat" and an AI chat box will appear in the bottom right. Inside the chat box, click "Send" to let the AI respond to your selected text.

📖 Explain

The AI gives a detailed explanation of the selected text — great for complex sentences or technical terms.

💡 Insight

The AI summarizes the key points or gives a quick analysis of the structure or logic.

🌍 Translate

Choose another target language (e.g. Japanese or German), and the AI will translate just the selected text.

📋 Copy Text

Easily copy the selected text for your notes.
